Function: it is a spacer that sets the position or end-float of a rotating or bolted part.
The reason this ends up on an order: getting the stack height right matters, so a spacer is replaced when the original is crushed, worn or the wrong thickness is needed. Supplied as a pack of 3, which is how these small parts are normally bought — you rarely need just one.
Fitting note: Measure the assembled end-float rather than assuming the original spacer is correct.
