Replacement base plate for the UMS 9-99cc, the nine-cylinder 99cc four-stroke radial from UMS.
Function: it is the base plate on which the engine mounts to the airframe or test stand.
The reason this ends up on an order: the base plate carries the full engine load through the mount, so cracks or elongated holes here are a structural issue, not a cosmetic one. Supplied as a pack of 2, which is how these small parts are normally bought — you rarely need just one.
Fitting note: Inspect closely for cracks radiating from the bolt holes and check the plate is flat.
