On this engine the component is the bearing carried in the top cover, which supports the upper end of the cam or valve train.
Why this part matters: a bearing at this location runs hot and oil-starved if the cover feed is restricted, and failure is audible before it is visible. Supplied as a pack of 2, which is how these small parts are normally bought — you rarely need just one.
Fitting note: Check the cover bore and the feed passage when renewing the bearing.
