On this engine the component is the circlip that retains the rocker arm on its shaft.
Why this part matters: a service item renewed whenever the rocker gear is dismantled. Supplied as a pack of 5, which is how these small parts are normally bought — you rarely need just one.
Fitting note: Make sure the clip seats in its groove before refitting the cover.
