This is the valve exhaust for the UMS 5-100cc engine, the five-cylinder 100cc four-stroke radial from UMS.
The part itself is the exhaust valve, which sees the hottest gas in the engine.
Why it is replaced: the exhaust valve is the valve most likely to burn or tulip in service, especially if the engine has run lean. Supplied as a pack of 2, which is how these small parts are normally bought — you rarely need just one.
Fitting note: Inspect the seat face and stem for stretch; replace rather than reface a tuliped valve.
