This is the spark plug for the DLE 20 single, a small-displacement two-stroke petrol engine for sport-scale models.
The part itself is the spark plug, which ignites the mixture in the cylinder.
Why it is replaced: plugs are consumables that foul, erode at the electrode and suffer from an over-rich or lean mixture; on a two-stroke they also oil up at low throttle.
Fitting note: Check the gap and read the insulator colour — the plug is the cheapest diagnostic on a petrol two-stroke.
