A piston ring to suit the DLE 111 twin — a large two-stroke petrol engine for big scale models.
On this engine the component is the piston ring, which seals compression on the piston.
Why this part matters: a ring is a wear item replaced at overhaul; a worn or stuck ring shows as falling compression, difficult starting and rising fuel consumption.
Fitting note: Check the ring end gap in the bore and make sure the ring is free in its groove.
