A needle bearing to suit the DLE 111 twin — a large two-stroke petrol engine for big scale models.
On this engine the component is a needle roller bearing, used where a compact bearing has to carry a high radial load in the crank or rod.
Why this part matters: needle bearings in a two-stroke run on the fuel/oil mixture, so they are sensitive to a weak oil mix and are a routine overhaul item.
Fitting note: Check the rollers and the running surface for pitting, and make sure the oil mix ratio is correct on reassembly.
