A propwasher to suit the DLE 222 twin — a large-displacement two-stroke petrol twin for very large scale models.
On this engine the component is the propeller washer, which spreads the bolt clamping load against the hub or prop face.
Why this part matters: a deformed or cracked washer lets the clamping load go slack and the propeller work loose.
Fitting note: Fit new washers on reassembly and inspect for cracking around the bore.
