NGH 35CC UAV Engine Starter/Generator Version VDC 28V/500W

The NGH 35CC is a petrol engine in the UAV configuration, with a starter/generator specified at 28V DC and 500W.

The starter/generator serves two purposes: it cranks the engine from the control station rather than by hand, and once running it supplies 500W at 28V to the aircraft’s electrical system. 500W is enough to run avionics, servos and a payload while the engine is turning, which reduces the battery the airframe has to carry for a given endurance.

28V DC matches a 7S lithium pack, so the onboard battery and the generator work on the same bus. Supplied as the generator-equipped version of the 35cc engine, aimed at aircraft in commercial or long-endurance service rather than sport use.
