This is the silencer ring for the UMS 5-100cc engine, the five-cylinder 100cc four-stroke radial from UMS.
The part itself is the silencer ring, which seals and locates the silencer at its joint.
Why it is replaced: a failed ring is an exhaust leak that also lets the joint move and work loose.
Fitting note: Renew the ring whenever the silencer is removed and check the joint faces.
