Replacement valve for the UMS 5-250cc, the five-cylinder 250cc four-stroke radial from UMS.
Function: it is a poppet valve — intake or exhaust — that opens and closes the combustion chamber.
The reason this ends up on an order: exhaust valves in particular burn and stretch in service, and a valve is replaced whenever the head is off for inspection. Supplied as a pack of 2, which is how these small parts are normally bought — you rarely need just one.
Fitting note: Lap the valve to its seat and check the stem for straightness.
