Function: it is the propeller lock cone, which centres and locks the propeller on its drive.
The reason this ends up on an order: the cone must seat perfectly or the propeller will not run true; a scored cone is replaced, not dressed.
Fitting note: Check the cone and the matching face for fretting before fitting, and torque to the factory figure.
