This is the solenoid ignition coil complete w/xt60 & cable for the DLE 170M twin, a large-displacement two-stroke petrol twin for very large scale models.
The part itself is the ignition coil with its solenoid, supplied complete with the XT60 connector and cable.
Why it is replaced: coils break down internally with heat and vibration, giving a weak or intermittent spark that is worst when hot.
Fitting note: Check the plug cap and lead at the same time, and check the connector pins for corrosion.
