Replacement piston ring for the DLE 222 twin 222cc engine.
Function: it is the piston ring, which seals compression on the piston.
The reason this ends up on an order: a ring is a wear item replaced at overhaul; a worn or stuck ring shows as falling compression, difficult starting and rising fuel consumption.
Fitting note: Check the ring end gap in the bore and make sure the ring is free in its groove.
