This is the muffler (h) for the DLE 170M twin, a large-displacement two-stroke petrol twin for very large scale models.
The part itself is the H-pattern muffler for the engine.
Why it is replaced: replaced when cracked or corroded through.
Fitting note: Check the joint faces and support the muffler independently of the exhaust stub.
